Pleiones are predominantly terrestrial. They are known to be hardy orchids though winter protection is beneficial. It is best to keep Pleione orchids on the dryer end of things during winter when plant is dormant, though I know people keeping their plant exposed to the Pacific Northwest rain year round. The psudobulb produces around two offsets every year. Blooms starts around late March - May depending on your location.
